Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service organisation, with over 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries. Here in the British Isles, Lions work every day to make a difference in their communities through volunteering, fundraising, and hands-on service.
One of our global causes is Childhood Cancer. Each year, thousands of children and young people face the reality of cancer treatment, and Lions are committed to bringing them comfort, hope, and practical support. Across the UK, Lions Clubs partner with hospitals, charities, and community groups to provide care packages, fund equipment, and back projects that make a meaningful impact for families.
Caps of Courage is part of that mission. By uniting volunteers to knit, crochet, and sew handmade caps, Lions are helping to bring warmth, confidence, and smiles to children and young people affected by cancer.
Every cap is a symbol of kindness, community, and courage.
Alongside Caps of Courage, Lions Clubs across the UK run a range of projects that support, inspire, and empower children and young people. These include:
Through these projects, Lions Clubs provide opportunities for children and young people to grow, learn, and thrive, while ensuring they are supported to achieve their full potential.
